I get by with a little help from my friends..

This weekend off was absolutely fabulous.
Although I missed Matthew all weekend (He was out-of-province to attend a friend's wedding), I made up for it by having as much fun as I possibly could with my girl friends.

The weather, for the most part, was warm and beautiful all weekend long. I took advantage of it and spend as much time as possibly in the lovely outdoors.

Friday, myself, Erin, Cassie and Laura went out for cupcakes and tea at a new cupcake shop in town. YES, cupcakes!!! You all know how I feel about cupcakes! They are the most delicious and adorable things in the world! The shop "Sugar Mamas" is located in the city next to us, about a 15 minute drive away. I had a scrumptious oreo cupcake. One of the best cupcakes I have ever tasted, but it was so pretty I wanted to keep it forever:

Friday night, I went out dancing with my friends, Stacy and Emily. Unfortunately, I accidently deleted the other pictures from this night off my camera. This was the one I didn't lose though:

Saturday was the only day out of the whole weekend that rained. I stayed in for the day, but went out for the night to my friend Cassie's birthday party. I;ll admit, while I'm not a fan of the "Playboy Bunny" theme, I did have alot of fun and I loved dressing up in pink and black. Please don't judge me!

Sunday was a SUN day. It was forecasted to rain, but the rain still decided to peak it's shinning face out from under the clouds and give us a beautiful 22 degree day with not a raindrop in sight. We went to a little cafe downtown and had sandwiches and tea and then frolicked in the park nearby, drove to another park, had a good Sunday dinner at Natasha's and then to yet another park to end the day in.

Hope you all had a great weekend =)

Love ya body today :)

I used to struggle so much with body image. Growing up, I was tall and lanky, with not a curve to call my own until I was about 20 and developed curves overnight. As the old saying goes, "you always want what you don't have". It's so true. I felt envious of other girls while in my teens with the hourglass figures and once I had it, I longed to have my pencil, stick-thin figure back.

Right now, I feel I am a healthy size. No, I am not model-thin. But I feel comfortable in my own skin. I do occasionally envy those girls with slender arms, completely flat tummies and can eat whatever they want without gaining a pound. Oh, to have the freedom not to constantly watch everything I put in my mouth! I realize that Hollywood and the media is to blame for these unrealistic expectations of proportions for young women. However, I feel society is moving somewhat forward. Some of the most beautiful celebrities are the ones with the junk in the trunk.

So this is a style/fashion blog. I want to talk about a particular trend I am mad for right now to experiment with :

I have these shorts already :)

Random and off topic, but so many are getting married. I have a long way to go yet before I consider tying the knot, but I am thinking of ideas like this:

Vintage inspired wedding dresses

This has to be my dream wedding dress:

If you only wanted a simple, short yet elegant dress:
